Accessing information in the old times was never convenient. Long ago, only males are allowed to go to school and achieved a degree in Philosophy or Literature. But as soon as the Middle Ages came, information and knowledge were only in the hands of religious people not until Renaissance came that they were allowed to be seen.

Decades and centuries passed, women were also allowed to go to school. People now are granted with all the available information they want to obtain. The day came that everything changes and made accessing information very easy for everyone.

First, we have these libraries where collections of books were stocked in order. Until we came to databases where all information are stored in a way that we could search through and retrieve without a sweat or passing each aisle in the library. All these databases are made available online and can search them through the internet in just seconds to minute of researching. It is the internet that made the revolutionary step on ways to access the knowledge and given the people around the globe a chance to expand the knowledge beyond what they learned.

This becomes an advantage for children who are studying in accessing information that could help them in their projects and homework. But internet need is very helpful if used in the right way. It is also their means of sharing their knowledge on the field of their expertise from people in their same circle of interests.

Through internet, they can easily help out people who are seeking knowledge from an expert. This is true to some children who wanted to learn new things and seek answers from a true expert. We as parents have to know the advantages and disadvantages of internet in our child. The vast information that online contains may be right or wrongly used. As parents we have to know what will be right and wrong for our children. This is not only for them to be aware but also for us that internet is either educational or destruction.
