Little Boat

Sailboats use wind to propel themselves, reminding us how wonderful and powerful nature is. They make us feel free out on the wide, blue sea. Lets’s make one out of sea-blue paper.

Use a square sheet of paper.

1. Fold in the center horizontally, then unfold. Then fold down the center vertically, and unfold.

2. Flip the sheet over, then fold along the diagonal. Unfold.

3. Flip the sheet over again, and fold the four corners so that their points meet in the center.

4. Fold the two triangles marked above in opposite directions, at different distances from the base of the square, as shown.

5. Rotate the sheet a bit, then fold the model along the valley and mountain folds you made in earlier steps.

6. Refold the bottom along a slight diagonal, as shown.
