Did you know that the @ symbol in email addresses is also called a “snail?” And it does look like that invertebrate that slowly inches along the ground with its house on its back. (Actually that little house is a shell that protects the animal’s tiny, soft body from the dangers of the environment.)
Use a square sheet of paper.
1. Fold the sheet along the diagonal, then unfold.
2. Fold the two lower sides toward the center.
3. Flip the model over.
4. Fold up, bringing the lower corner toward the left side (follow the arrow).
5. Cut a little flap in the corner that you just folded, then turn it downwards.
6. The snail is done!
