Stress

Оглавление

We all know how stress works and how much we dislike having it. It’s a pain to deal with and hard to rid of if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Stress is common for people of all ages and everyone has had their fair share of it. It’s also known to be linked to the top causes of death like heart disease, cancer, and stroke. Not only that but stressed people are unhappy people.

The more stress you have piled up the harder it’ll be for you to be happy.

There are many different reasons as to why anyone would be stressed out during the day. You can have stress from the drama caused by your family.

There’s the type of stress that’s caused from work because you had deadlines to keep but you’re not close to finishing. There’s also the type of stress where you’re thinking about unnecessary stuff, whatever it may be.

I think the worst type of stress is people stress. Why? Because when you’re dealing with a person, whoever it may be, there is something that is bound to go wrong.

If you’re the type of person that constantly reads the news everyday I recommend you stop for a while.

It’s good to keep yourself updated with what is going on with your life but maybe you feel stressed out because of the news that you’re receiving.

If you think about it, about 99% of daily news is bad news. If it’s not bad news then it’s pointless news that you’ve already known or don’t care about.

Try taking a break from reading the news on a daily basis. You can do every other day or once per week and see if it works for you. If your stress meter went down a little by doing that then you at least know the one source of where your stress was coming from.

A good way to get rid of your stress is to learn how to express your feelings. Normally, the worst case of stress is when your feelings are piling up on each other deep within you. You’re not letting yourself breathe and you’re keeping your emotions cooped up in a small, condensed box without any room for air to flow through.

It might have worked for you for a few months or years, depending on the type of person you are; however, one of these days, those emotions are going to explode and you’re going to feel a change you probably wouldn’t want. You can only keep your emotions bottled up for so long before you’ll have to let them out.

If it’s something extremely personal then find someone that you know you’ll be able to trust and feel comfortable telling. Obviously, if you can’t feel comfortable telling someone information about yourself then deep down you don’t actually trust them enough to tell them.

Another way to deal with stress is to avoid any negative elements in your life. Taking a light walk in the park is a good way to relax your mind, but make sure that it’s in a quiet place and not somewhere filled with loud noises. Try to experience new things everyday.

Did you have a hobby that you used to do when you were little? If you haven’t done that hobby in a long time then continue it again. Have some old friends that you haven’t seen in a long time? Call them up and contact them. Start changing some of your perspective about life. If you’ve always had your head under the dark clouds it’s about time to lift them up and look at the bright sun.

Have too little time on your hands for your personal life? Learn to better manage your time so you can relax without a care in the world. Haven’t smiled for the day? Take a walk to work, or to anywhere you want, and smile at every stranger that you pass by. Yes, it sounds weird but there’s nothing wrong with it.

A smile can brighten up someone’s day even if it meant nothing for you. When you smile you’ll feel happy. Even a little smirk will do something to brighten your mood.
