The constellation Gemini
ОглавлениеIt’s hard to see a ram in the stars of Aries, but looking at Gemini, it’s easy to picture its brightest stars, Castor and Pollux, as the heads of twins. Castor is a stellar community comprising three hot bluish-white stars, each of which is a double: six stars in all. Pollux is cooler, a red giant about ten times the size of the Sun orbited by a large planet discovered in 2006 by a Gemini astronomer.
