CHAPTER 1
ОглавлениеHad someone told me 12 years ago, that I would be writing a book about crop circles, UFOs or anything verging on the paranormal, I would have told them they had more chance of Tony Blair voting Conservative at the next election. However, after 12 years of intensive research into these and other phenomena, I have no alternative but to believe that humanity is on the brink of one of the greatest discoveries of all time. That is a very profound statement to make, and I would not make it if I did not feel I had the evidence to back it up.
It appears, at least since the war, that consecutive world governments have spent millions of pounds on investigations into the UFO phenomenon and have documented evidence of their existence. The lengths to which these governments will go to hide this information never cease to amaze me. Until now it has been relatively easy for them to do this, because they have owned 99 per cent of all the surveillance equipment. However, this has changed over recent years and sophisticated technology is now in the public domain, in the shape of camcorders, digital cameras, mobile phone scanners, GPS and so on. For a nominal fee, you can now zoom in to anywhere on the planet via satellite. So gone are the days of only blurred photographs of UFOs, it will not be long before someone, somewhere, films the landing of an extra-terrestrial spacecraft, and possibly its occupants.
‘Seeing is believing’ had always been my motto. For this reason, in my youth I had big problems getting to grips with God. I could not see this all-powerful person (as we were led to believe) being able to keep his eye on everything we did. So rather than be out of step with the rest of mankind by not believing in God, I searched my mind for a logical answer. I now believe that God would be far better known and understood as chaos. Everything we humans know is born from chaos. Science says that in the beginning there was a big bang – that being the ultimate chaos. Trillions of particles being thrown out into the void of space, in every direction? That’s chaos. Each of those particles being different in some way, each cooling to different temperatures? That’s chaos. Only some of these rock particles being able to harbour life? That brings us to the biggest chaos of all – life itself. The chances of anything ever being born out of all of this are zillions to one. Even the vaginal passage of a woman has a disinfectant fluid which is secreted to prevent sperm, or any other foreign bodies, taking hold.
How could God let 32 schoolchildren plunge into a ravine in a school bus? What sins could they possibly be guilty of at five and six years old? And please don’t give me that old ‘God works in mysterious ways’ routine. So with all this chaos in mind, I believe chance plays a major role in the game of life. And where better to play that game than hurtling through a void at thousands of miles an hour on a ball of rock that can fry or freeze you, dancing on tectonic plates that can destroy the ground beneath you, rained on by meteors and asteroids, right next door to a ball of fire that’s slowly dying. A god that put us here would have to be one sick lizard. Surely no one in their right mind would put the children they loved in such danger as that which the human race is in.
It’s at this point in my thinking that I begin to look for a more suitable word in the place of chaos, a softer word with some meaning. I suppose this is when most people would say God. I would say Nature or, even more comforting, Mother Earth. The Native American Indians have it right – they love Mother Earth, she holds all they need, even though they know how temperamental she can be. If I use the word God today, to me it means the essence of all the energy in the cosmos – not a thinking force, just one that occurs at random, as a result of whatever energy is at hand. The human race is part of this energy. We can affect the Earth, the Earth can affect us. Energy is never destroyed, it is only changed. So, when we humans finally succumb to whatever fate chaos throws at us, we shall become the energy for the next chaotic event.
It was not in my wildest imagination that by walking into a crop formation all my beliefs would be changed (see picture section). It was never the formations themselves that changed my beliefs. It was the work that went into research trying to discover what or who were the circle makers. The information I am about to share with you sent me on a learning curve that eventually changed my life.
