ОглавлениеManagement Summary
Due to the globalization and the continuously changing environment conditions over the recent years, it can be observed that the complexity
of tasks and the dynamics of change processes by which organizations are confronted, have risen massively. The requirements for employees and managers to deal with these challenges and to ensure the business success have increased tremendously. The debate about the lack of skilled workers shows that finding well-trained staff is getting harder every day. Therefore a strategic human resources development has gained importance over recent years (e.g. Bartscher et al. 2012, p. 244). In this context, the "soft skills" of employees are named as key factors for achieving professional competence. In order to being efficient in a constantly changing environment, the employees have to master skills such as decision-making, self-reliance and teamwork (e.g. Becker 2009, p. 5).
The focus of this master thesis is to introduce a concept for staff develop-ment which takes advantage of the synergy of coaching, moderation and theatre pedagogy. The work will answer questions about the features and benefits of theatre pedagogies for both employees and companies and will demonstrate the implementation with a practical example. Theatre education in staff development enables employees to deal with them-selves and their own environment in a creative and constructive manner. Moreover, it offers numerous opportunities to develop skills such as openness, the ability to reflect and communicate as well as to work in a team and this way to develop “soft skills” required by today’s economy.
