Oscar’s Wilde Chili Sauce
Оглавление• 1 teaspoon allspice
• 1 teaspoon whole cloves
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 10 large tomatoes
• 2 large onions
• 1 hot red pepper
• 2 medium apples
• 1 cup white sugar
• ½ cup vinegar
Place allspice, cloves, and cinnamon into a cheesecloth bag and tie closed.
Peel and cut up tomatoes and place in a large saucepan. Add chopped onion and chopped red peppers (without seeds).
Peel, core, and chop apples and add to the onions and pepper. Add sugar, vinegar, and the spice bag.
Boil the mixture for one hour or until thick, stirring occasionally. Remove spice bag.
Cool and pour into sterilized jars.
Serve as a condiment with any egg dish.
