The next day chaos resumes. There are more sentries around the palace, and you can’t go anywhere without stumbling over at least ten of them. Of course, they are happily following Natal around. Apparently, they think protection for her is of the utmost importance. She seems to love the attention. I’ve barely seen Tane. He is in (the war room) my father’s study with my father and the others coming up with a plan. I find it unacceptable that they don’t include me or Natal if she wanted to come up with a plan together. Here is another example of my father thinking I am still a child. Maybe I can get my uncle Zeus to lend me his lighting rod so I can strike my father. Maybe then he will start taking me seriously as a goddess and not a child.
I did notice everyone around the palace seems more tense than normal. The fear of Poseidon’s enemies being so close already has everyone on high alert. I look for something to jump out from behind every shadow and corner. Feeling useless, I excuse myself from Natal and her guards and head for my quarters. I want to see if I can help come up with a plan and send out more messages to other gods to help deal with this problem. The only thing that worries me the most is being unsure of whom to trust. At least I can write up a list and see if Delphine agrees to them before sending out the messages for help.
