Bosstypen Strength and weakness: Vladimir Putin or the dominance of the pack leader
// By Dr. Jens Hoffmann

This post could also be overridden with: The Bos type: The dominance of the pack leader or why a Vladimir Putin respects strength and despises weakness. But what is a Bos type?

The power of the pack leader

A Bos type of his personality structure is someone who, in general terms, can also be described as a pack leader. Such people like hierarchies, and they like being the boss: they like to be at the top of the power ladder themselves.

You can find boss types in companies as well as in authorities, in governments and of course in the military and the police, i.e. in all hierarchically structured organizations. These people are characterized by the fact that they are very ready to fight and like to go into conflict.

Preference for dominance

What they also like very much is the topic of domination. In this context, it is also interesting that Bosstypen like to defend their pack. If an outsider tries to attack someone from the Bosstyp group, he automatically launches himself with the pack leader.

Take the example of a male Bos type, whose preference it is to give a martial image. This is also shown by the typical male clothing and the enjoyment of tangible sports and competitions in general.

Vladimir Putin as a typical example

A typical example of a Bosstypen is Russian President Vladimir Putin. Through his cultivated martial image, he contributes to bringing more attention to this personality style worldwide.

Almost legendary are the photos showing Putin with bare torso and toned muscles or hunting, riding and fishing. He also likes to publish pictures or videos that portray him as a victorious judo fighter. And, moreover, his desire for power and his instinct for power is to some extent erode the political system of his homeland and thus came to 2012 for a third term as president.

His behavior is also Bos typical, when he shows other people in public - for example, when an entrepreneur had to apologize to him via television like a schoolboy. People who get in his way are constantly being attacked and exposed.

The presented Chancellor Angela Merkel

A striking scene, in which Putin showed his strategy of dominance very openly and openly, was observed at a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel in the year 2007. It is said that Putin has known for a long time that Merkel is afraid of dogs because she was bitten once as a girl.

Putin let his big lab dog Koni into the meeting room. Koni sniffed the chancellor, who visibly froze from her posture. This was obviously the opening of a game of power and dominance on the part of Putin. Merkel tried to be unimpressed despite her discomfort - the right strategy when dealing with a boss type. Putin then launched a verbal attack by indirectly addressing her dog phobia. “The bitch doesn't bother you? She is a friendly dog and knows how to behave. ” Merkel countered in Putin's mother tongue Russian with the ironic remark: "At least the dog doesn't eat journalists." Merkel gained respect by consciously and strikingly showing no weakness.
