UG 43. The call of Levi Matthew to the apostleship (Mt 9:9—13; Mk 2:13—17; Lk 5:27—32)
Оглавление43:1 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them. (Mk 2:13)
43:2 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a publican, named Levi Matthew the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. (Mt 9:9; Mk 2:14; Lk 5:27)
43:3 And he left all, rose up, and followed him. (Mt 9:9; Mk 2:14; Lk 5:28)
43:4 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. (Mt 9:10; Mk 2:15; Lk 5:29)
43:5 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they murmured against his disciples, saying, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? (Mt 9:11; Mk 2:16; Lk 5:30)
43:6 But when Jesus heard that, he answering said unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick, (Mt 9:12; Mk 2:17; Lk 5:31)
43:7 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: (Mt 9:13)
43:8 For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Mt 9:13; Mk 2:17; Lk 5:32)
