Hans finds Marie in her hiding place. “Marie, I’ve found you!”, calls Hans. Marie proudly shows Hans the paintbox and brush. “Hey, just look what I found here Hans!”

Hans has two black dots on his back. Marie takes her paintbrush and paints two more red dots on his back.

“Marie! I don‘t want any more dots on my back!”, he says angrily.

Hans doesn‘t want any new dots and wipes the colour off. But the colour doesn‘t come off and Hans is really annoyed: “Marie, get this colour off me right away!“

But Marie was so excited about her new paintbox that she had already flown away. Daddy Ladybird comes along and tries to wipe away the dots with a leaf. He wipes and wipes.

But the dots don‘t come off his back. Daddy Ladybird is wiping so hard that he begins to sweat. Some little pearls of sweat drip right onto Wally, the rain worm‘s head. Astonished Wally looks up.

“Oh, it’s beginning to rain”, he thinks aloud and wipes away the little drops.
