The number of people arriving from parking floors is estimated from the number of parking places. Parking floors are treated as entrance floors if people can enter or exit the building from the parking areas. The number of people in a vehicle depends on the building type. In office buildings about 1.2 persons in a car and in residential and commercial buildings, a bigger number, e.g. 1.5 persons in a car, can be assumed. In the case of public parking, even up to 2.0 persons per car can be possible. If the number of parking places per floor is not given, or cannot be counted from the layout drawings, about 20 m² per automobile can be assumed.
