Alexandra Dias completed her Ph D in 2013 from Oporto University (Portugal). She worked in the Department of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies at the Lusophone University of Oporto between 2007 and 2013. Later, she joined Western Sydney University (Australia), Fiji National University (Fiji Islands) and University College of Dublin (present). Her research has concentrated on visuality in Portuguese contemporary literature and graphic novels. Alexandra’s research interests have both shaped and been shaped by her teaching experiences, therefore she is interested in how globalization and internet technologies are changing the way we think and learn.
