Before moving
Preparing to move
ОглавлениеOne of my favorite stages nowadays is planning and preparation. Anticipation of something new, interesting and long-awaited. How to Prepare? I’ll tell you now.
1) Check all documents and their expiration date. If any of them comes to an end soon, then update before you leave. Serious problems can arise if something needs to be updated during the move or on the other side of the border.
2) Take enough ID photos. In the new country, they will be needed for local registration. Running to look for where it is done there will be much more difficult. In addition, you will have to spend more money than at home.
3) If you need to certify any documents, translate or confirm, then do it right away. It is strongly unprofitable to do it abroad.
4) Visit all the doctors and do a full check of your body.
5) Get yourself in order. Beauty salons and other establishments will also be out of the access zone for financial reasons.
6) Make sure you have clothes and shoes for all occasions. I don’t think you will want to go shopping and spend all the money brought before you make money in local currency.
7) Set aside an emergency supply of money that you will take with you. This is the money that you may need in case of an emergency. (For example: If you suddenly need to fly back home urgently.)
8) Study the country you are flying to in advance. Everything, everything, everything.
9) Find out where to go immediately after arrival to arrange local documents and what exactly is required. (Tax office, doctors, residence permit, bank.) This will save a lot of time and nerves.
10) Tell your loved ones the coordinates and contact details of all points of your movement. This is for your own safety.
11) Pack the necessary first aid kit with you. Anything can happen in life. Find out in advance what you can bring, as many drugs may be prohibited.
12) Finish all unfinished business at home, so that there is no twitching, and that nothing distracts you from building a new life.
13) Collect the maximum amount of money. Believe me, you will need all of it there more than here. Give up the momentary spending on all sorts of little things, save these funds.
14) No need to vigorously celebrate your departure the day before. The consequences of such events have long been known. You will initially create difficulties for yourself from the scratch.
15) Get some rest and sleep. Gain strength. There it’s needed in earnest.
