FOR CHILDREN
1 Pat the sausages dry with a kitchen paper towel. Then prick them several times all over with a fork.
2 Heat the oil or margarine in a pan. Add the sausages and fry (sauté) them without a lid over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning them occasionally, until beautifully brown all over.
Serve with: mashed potatoes (p. 166) and red cabbage (p. 120) or sauerkraut (p. 128).
TIP» You can also make meatballs with the sausage meat. Just squeeze the sausage meat out of its skin and shape into small balls. Fry for about 10 minutes until nice and brown.

about 15 minutes
4 boiled or fresh bratwurst 30 g/1 oz margarine or 3 tablespoons cooking oil
