ОглавлениеNancy Simmons
Black Diamond, Alta.
Nancy enjoys carving wildlife in many mediums,
particularly gunstocks, antlers, goose eggs, silver, and
glass. She gets her inspiration from living in the foothills
of the Rocky Mountains. The moose and maple leaf
on the gunstock are a nod to some of Canada’s most
recognizable icons. Contact Nancy at prisim@telus.net.

Scott Hirschi
Helena, Mon.
Scott woodburned Catch and Release on maple.
He used watercolor and colored pencil to make the
piece pop. It is 16" (40.6cm) square. See more of

Tony Harris
Cleveland, Tenn.
When Tony first carved this hillbilly 30 years ago
(left), it was his most prized possession. He recently
carved the pattern again to see how much his
carving skills have improved. ”To all the carvers who
are just beginning, know in time that with practice
and perseverance, we all get better,” he said. The
hillbilly pattern, 10" (25.4cm), is from Harold Enlow’s
book
Carving Figure Caricatures in the Ozark Style
.
