Ornament
Every Christmas, Leo Tandecki of
Coupeville, Wash., carves an ornament for each of
his children. Last year he chose to carve an angel
tree topper from a pattern by Shawn Cipa that
he found in
Woodcarving Illustrated
Holiday 2006
(Issue 37).

Third Generation
Neil Esmay of Lake Havasu City,
Ariz., carved this naval emblem for his grandson
Austin. Austin is a third-generation Navy offi
cer as
well as a third-generation carver.

Jewelry Box
William Suto of Inverness, Fla., made
this 4'-tall jewelry box from a cypress knee. The
box has 20 drawers plus four that are hidden.
William is 77 years old and has been carving since
he was 12 years old.

Tiny Scenes
Andrew Campbell of London, Ont.,
Canada, was inspired to create his own walnut
carvings after reading the article by Larry Guay
in
Woodcarving Illustrated
Fall 2015 (Issue 72).
He found the living room scene to be the most
