Old Times:

Making “Fontina” Cheese on the Alps

(Turin) Italy

Carver Paolo Micheletta created this scene

after sheltering from heavy rain in an old dairy

in the Aosta Valley, which is near his home

in northern Italy. The area is famous for its

cheeses. Paolo carved the 14" by 17" relief scene

from walnut and finished it with beeswax.
