The Affiliated Woodcarvers will sponsor the 46th

Annual International Woodcarvers Congress from

June 14 to 17, 2012, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds

in Maquoketa, Iowa. The group hosts seminars with

popular instructors, including some past Best of Show

award winners, the week prior to the show.

A distinguished panel of judges not only chooses

the competition winners, but also offers a Judges’

Critique, where they discuss their reasons for awarding

a prize to one carving over another. A valuable

learning experience, this critique can give you specific

feedback on how to improve your carvings.
