With advancement and improvement in propulsion system technology, it could be possible in the future that drone would be propelled by ion thruster without brushless motor, while drones with turbojet engine traveling very far distance have already become possible but still achieving heights as high as that of satellites with much higher speed is still a future tech. However, this type of drone will have less application for commercial purposes and will be more for research & military tech, and would be costly [15].
