THE HISTORY CHANNEL

Оглавление

My mom is friends with his mom and we hang out when we are little. Later, not so much. Years pass. His family comes to visit my family – carpets have been pulled up, walls smashed into rubble and carted away, furniture replaced or rearranged – we are grown up now. “I love The History Channel,” he tells me, before even the hellos. I raise my eyebrows when he asks me if there’s been anything good on lately. I tell him I have no idea and he looks hurt. I think back – it’s true I used to like The History Channel when I was younger. As I’m thinking, he explains that all he heard growing up was that I watched The History Channel. “Why don’t you watch The History Channel?” his mom would ask him.
