Social and labor benefits.
ОглавлениеIt is important to recognize that the game of golf provides players with fundamental social skills, since it generates communication skills to learn to relate to people from different backgrounds from common references learned in the golf environment, i.e., golf carries its own language for the execution of the sport but this transcends to a language that allows a common dialogue between players and assistants which results in a harmonious social environment and positive relationship. Similarly, golf is presented as a medium in which the interactions that occur between different people with different skills and professions lend themselves to create, generate or propose work actions that originate as a product of trust and empathy that arises in the field of learning and practice of golf.
Specifically, the following social and labor benefits can be highlighted:
Helps develop self-control because it teaches anger and rage management/elimination.
Develops concentration as it is a basic and indispensable requirement for playing golf.
Boosts self-esteem; as your game progresses you will feel more confident and secure.
Provides an opportunity to develop and practice camaraderie with friends and playmates.
Demonstrate your honesty by controlling the number of hits.
Drives perseverance.
Promotes competitiveness.
You train your decision-making skills... every stroke is a decision.
You learn the importance of listening to your intuition.
You learn to interpret and understand character, personality and human behavior in playmates.
Boosts confidence in personal, work and business relationships.
Provides the opportunity to meet people from different professions with the consequent job, professional and business opportunities.
I can summarize all these qualities by describing my own experience with this sport throughout practically my entire life: "Golf taught me to know my limitations, to accept my frustrations, to respect others and not to lie even to myself".
