The Willow Tree
ОглавлениеShe sits effortlessly beneath the willow tree
wading her feet in a pond of water lilies
for a fleeting glance she’d wait for eternity
forgetting the pain of love un-requited in spring
The seasons gently begin to change
and spring blooms into lovely sunny days
he never arrived beneath the willow, so she waits
as summer fades into crisp autumn days
A modest man paints the beautiful woman
he see's seated amidst Jerusalem Oak
shyly looking to him from beneath the willow
With brushstrokes for words
he captured the beauty of her sadness
the muse reflected for a lifetime on his canvas
