It was Friday evening, and Lisa was sitting at a small café, nervously glancing at her watch. This was her first date with John, a guy she had met at school. She had spent the whole week trying to decide what to wear and how to act. Her heart was racing, but she tried to stay calm. She didn’t want to mess it up.

As she looked around, she saw John walking toward her with a friendly smile. He was wearing a casual jacket and seemed just as nervous as she was. He waved and took a seat across from her.

– Hey, Lisa! Sorry I’m late. I got stuck in traffic.

They both relaxed more as they continued to chat about their hobbies, favorite movies, and places they wanted to visit. John asked Lisa about her favorite books, and Lisa found herself talking about her love for mystery novels. They laughed when they discovered they both had a soft spot for the same movie series.

– I’m glad we’re having this conversation. It doesn’t feel awkward anymore.
