2.3 What role do neuropsychology, genetics, and culture play in the study of child development?
ОглавлениеNeuropsychology is the study of the brain and behavior. Behavioral genetics is the study of genes and behavior. Both brain development and the expression of genes are influenced and shaped by environment and children’s experiences as they grow and develop. All cultures have their own theories about how children develop. To understand what is most adaptive within a particular context and environment, we must always keep in mind the realities of children’s lives in different settings.
