When placed on invoice books, in your handbag, on work files, or pasted on telephones, fax machines, and computers, and activated with red or gold threads, ribbons, and ropes, they can be used to magnify prosperity luck. These colored ribbons activate yang energy and, when they are skillfully tied together in auspicious numbers and with special-meaning knots, the results can be rather spectacular. There are several different ways to combine knots and coins to bring out the chi hidden within the coins.

Old Chinese coins or modern reproductions are extremely popular with Feng Shui practitioners familiar with their powerful significance. This is because when used correctly they can be extremely potent in calling upon the luck of both heaven and earth. The square holes in the center of the round coins symbolize the fusion of heaven and earth, bringing prosperity chi, which is believed to activate and energize prosperity luck.
