Lin Bai received the B.Sc. degree in electronic and information engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in communication systems from the University of Wales, Swansea, U.K., in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in advanced telecommunications from the School of Engineering, Swansea University, U.K., in 2010. Since 2011, he has been with Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, BUAA), Beijing, China, where he is currently a Professor at the School of Cyber Science and Technology. His research interests include multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), Internet-of-Things (IoT), and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications. He authored two books published by Springer in 2012 and 2014. He was invited to serve as a Symposium Co-Chair of IEEE GLOBECOM 2019 and a Tutorial Co-Chair of IEEE/CIC ICCC 2019. He has served as a Lead Guest Editor for IEEE Wireless Communications and a Guest Editor for IEEE Internet of Things Journal. Currently, he is on the Editorial Board of several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and serves as the Managing Editor of Journal of Communications and Information Networks. Prof. Bai is a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society and a senior member of the IEEE.

Xianling Liang received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2002, and a Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of EMT-INRS, University of Quebec. In 2009, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, as a Lecturer, where he became an Associate Professor in 2012. He has authored or co-authored about 260 papers including over 150 journal papers, and co-authored one book and three chapters on antenna fields. He holds over 20 patents in antenna technologies. His current research interests are on modern antenna technology and applications, including OAM-EM wave propagation theory and antennas, time-modulated/4-D arrays, anti-interference antennas, integrated active arrays, and UWB wide-angle scanning phased arrays. Dr. Liang is a senior member of IEEE, and member of communication appraisal expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education. He was a recipient of the Award of Shanghai Municipal Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in 2008, the Nomination of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in 2009, the Best Paper Award presented at the International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas, Innovative Structures, and Materials in 2010, the SMC Excellent Young Faculty and the Excellent Teacher Award of SJTU in 2012, the Shanghai Natural Science Award in 2013, the Best Paper Award presented at the IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation, and EMC Technologies in 2015, the 4th China Publishing Government Book Award, and the Okawa Foundation Research Grant in 2017.

Zhenyu Xiao received a B.E. degree from the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2006, and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he held a post-doctoral position with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. From 2013 to 2016 he was a Lecturer with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing, China, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He had visited the University of Delaware and Imperial College London from 2012 to 2013 and 2015 to 2016, respectively. Dr. Xiao has published over 70 papers in journals including IEEE JSAC, IEEE TWC, IEEE TSP, IEEE TVT, IEEE COMML, IEEE WCL, and IET COMM, and is serving as a reviewer for these journals. He has been a TPC member of IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE WCSP, IEEE ICC, IEEE ICCC, etc. He is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, China Communications, IET Communications, IEEE Access, and KSII transactions on Internet and Information Systems. He has also been a leading Guest Editor for IEEE Access, Special Issue on Millimeter Wave Communications. Dr. Xiao received the 2017 Best Reviewer Award of IEEE TWC, 2019 Exemplary Reviewer Award of IEEE WCL, and the 4th China Publishing Government Award. He has won the Second Prize from the Natural Science of China Electronics Society and the First Prize from Technical Invention of China Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Xiao is an active researcher with broad interests in millimeter wave communications, UAV and Near-Space communications and networking, NOMA, etc. He is a senior member of the IEEE.

Ronghong Jin received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering, an M.S. degree in electromagnetic and microwave technology, and a Ph.D. degree in communication and electronic systems from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 1983, 1986, and 1993, respectively. In 1986, he joined the Faculty of the Department of Electronic Engineering, SJTU, where he was an Assistant Professor, a Lecturer, and an Associate Professor. From 1997 to 1999, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Special Invited Research Fellow with the Communication Research Laboratory, Tokyo. From 2006 to 2009, he was a Guest Professor with the University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia. He is currently a Professor with SJTU. He is a Distinguish Guest Scientist with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Sydney, NSW, Australia. He has authored or co-authored more than 400 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings and co-authored four books. He holds about 70 patents in antenna and wireless technologies. His current research interests include antennas, electromagnetic theory, numerical techniques of solving field problems, and wireless communication. Dr. Jin is a Fellow of IEEE, and a committee member of the Radiowave Propagation Branch and the Antenna Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), Beijing, China. He was a recipient of the National Technology Innovation Award, the National Nature Science Award, the 2012 Nomination of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation (Supervisor), the Shanghai Nature Science Award, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.

Quan Yu received his Ph.D. degree in fiber optics from the University of Limoges in 1992. Since 1992, he joined the faculty of the Institute of China Electronic System Engineering Corporation. He is currently a principal research scientist at Peng Cheng Laboratory. His main areas of research interest are the architecture of wireless networks, optimization of protocols, and cognitive radios. He is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Communications and Information Networks.
