ОглавлениеClinical signs include anorexia, vomiting, abnormal mentation, seizures, dilated and unresponsive pupils, absent menace response bilaterally, opisthotonos with increased extensor tone of all four limbs, ataxia, tetraparesis, postural reaction deficits and vestibular dys-function (Garosi et al., 2003; Penderis et al., 2007; Palus et al., 2010). In addition, cervical ventroflexion and hyperesthesia to stimuli have been reported in thiamine-deficient cats. Seizures can progress to coma and death if the thiamine deficiency is not treated.
