Where are we going?
Why are we running?

Оглавление

Walker, your treads

are the road, and nothing more;

walker, there is no road,

the road is made by walking.

By walking one makes the road,

and upon glancing behind

one sees the path

that never will be trod again.

walker, there is no road,

only wakes upon the sea.

Antonio Machado

The Path is taken by THE WALKER and every one of us walks their own path and creates their own destiny.

All of us, at some time, have asked ourselves: what do I want to do? Where should I start? There should be an instruction book, a manual that explains everything to us, step by step; that way we would know what we need to do at every moment… and it would be much easier.

But no! There isn’t an instruction book or manual that would be enough, nor is there a magic wand. There is a manual for every person, which every one of us writes; all human beings must write their own story, with our experiences and adventures; if we are courageous and we make the effort to take just a few minutes per day to listen to our inner voice and follow it, we will know what we need to do.

These questions, where am I going?, what do I need to do?, I’ve asked these questions to myself very often and little by little the steps have led me to my destiny.

Sometimes we have the impression that we are running nowhere, we do not know where we are running to because we don’t have any goal. We always project ourselves into tomorrow and we forget about the now, the present, which is the only real thing we have, tomorrow does not exist, there will always be a present; in our efforts to project ourselves into a non-existent future, we lose our current life, our goals, and our energies. We can only live in the Now, the PRESENT, if we want to live fully.

We never stop running; at work we try to do everything and do it well in order to find worth and be recognized; even so we forget about things and we make mistakes, we are human, and this stresses us because we want to be the best and we don’t want to lose our job; we run around at home, we cook, we eat, we quickly clean… our life is a never-ending race; we don’t have time to enjoy ourselves or others; the vast majority of the time we miss many opportunities and marvelous things; we don’t see the beauty that surrounds us. If we cannot live in order to enjoy ourselves, what sense does it make to RUN AROUND AIMLESSLY?

Sometimes, we are aware that this is not living, we are only running without knowing where we are going, constantly fleeing life. We are afraid of stopping and seeing reality, because most people do not like reality, so they run in order to not reflect.

I have spent many years searching for answers to my many questions in serenity, in the silence of nature, and in meditation, which has allowed me to connect with my Being and thus be able to see the reality of situations and not fictitious or illusionary situations that are fed to me by my tiny mind, and little by little, with discipline and perseverance, the answers came to me.

I understood that FEAR is the key as to why we are constantly fleeing. It is the prevailing emotion; we are fleeing from ourselves, from the solitude impose by others and by ourselves, from suffering, from joy that maybe we do not deserve, we run from others and all of it because of FEAR; fear of seeing who I have become, fear of recognizing that I’ve thrown the towel in and stopped fighting for my dreams, fear of seeing that I have stopped existing and am now a shadow wandering aimlessly. Fear is a very powerful emotion, it paralyzes us and prevents us from seeing the reality of things. Fear is a black beast that grows within us, and we must take it out if we want to LIVE and not be in a vegetative state.

Another point to take into account on this endless path is that WE ARE NOT CONSCIOUS of what we are doing, we do not even talk or think, of course, about how we act. We must transform aggression into sweetness, fear into courage and strength, doubts into will and effort in order to be able to LIVE in harmony and balance. Our words must be positive, our intention honest and sincere, our actions suitable in order to start channeling our life and choose the path that we want to follow; many times we make mistakes, but what is important is that we be conscious of the mistake, rectify it, learn, and move forward.

We are so accustomed to running around aimlessly that being lost seems normal to us. The act of stopping ourselves and finding ourselves is scary to us, because we do not know ourselves and we don’t know what to say to ourselves; we are strangers to ourselves, we do not know who we are nor what we want. We are accustomed to do what we are told to do, to not question ourselves or our own lives, what do I really want within the depths of my soul?, what is my dream?, does what they taught me really make sense in my life?, are these concepts and ideas wrong or obsolete? It seems like we are robots without a soul, just following orders given to us; we follow what we are told and life passes us by without us knowing anything, not even that we exist.

All human beings seek out HAPPINESS, we crave it but we do not fight to find it. Before continuing to run aimlessly and continuing to fill ourselves with frustration, resentment, anguish, disappointment… we should stop, reflect, see where we are, and where we are heading. We feel tired and exhausted, we can’t go on, we have changed course so many times but we always end up in the same situation, adrift, sometimes with different protagonists, but with the same frustration, disappointment, resentment…

We should STOP ALREADY and ask ourselves the following questions: where am I going?, where do I want to go? We know that without objectives we cannot create anything, a ship without a course is at the mercy of the winds and it ends up sinking.

Starting by asking ourselves where we are going is the first step on the journey with infinite miles that we are going to start out on in order to reach our goal, our destiny.

We become aware that FEAR is the prevailing emotion that paralyzes us, feeds our frustration, resentment, fury, vulnerability, lack of confidence, and aggression. This fear blocks us in a way that we cannot move without breathing, we become petrified without knowing what to do or what to say and when we get back what little strength we have, we flee.

Fear is a black, ravenous beast that lives and grows inside of us; we cannot attack the beast without being injured, since it controls our ability to react, but if we can combat it and weaken it with strength, courage, willpower… As we are developing these abilities, we start to transform fear and its consequences: resentment, frustration, lack of confidence, vulnerability…

You don’t need to be afraid of fear. Fear is combated by facing it and you must take into account that it is only an emotion and that it can be transformed.

Our life is subjected to a lot of pressure, apart from our everyday problems, we see that everything around us collapses, that governments lie and are corrupt, that society in all its areas was built based on lies and manipulation; clearly all of these situations affect us directly and make us feel more vulnerable, deceived, and disappointed.

We have to create a new life according to our new way of thinking, of feeling; we cannot continue to be victims of ourselves or others, we all have baggage and everyone must carry their own, we cannot carry other people’s baggage.

The first step is to decide to find oneself and become our own best friend, discover ourselves and know who we are, asking ourselves: what do I want and desire?, what is my dream?, why am I living a life that I do not like?, why do I allow them to continue manipulating me?...

Once we have made the decision that we want to change, all of our bodies (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual), become prepared to accept this magical movement, which is transformation. Sometimes we are confronted by doubts, and a lack of confidence will make us vulnerable; fear paralyzes us; but our desire to change will be greater and we will be capable and ready to conquer these mental attacks.

In order to counteract these mental attacks, we must have courage, strength, bravery, determination, and confidence; we must be aware of false scenarios that our tiny mind feeds to us, but as the answers come to us, our life will begin to change, we will stop being strangers to ourselves and the stage of our own play will change along with us, since we stop being the old person and become a new person, from being victims into victors. We cannot change and yet continue to be the same person.

The best tool that we have is Meditation. Meditation helps us to look within ourselves, focus and hone in on our Being; it helps us to learn to breathe and to feel physically, emotionally, and mentally good, to make the mind silent, eliminating unnecessary sound, these thoughts in continuous reaction that gnaw at us, in order to be able to listen to our true voice and finally find our true Self.

By doing meditation, we will very soon start to feel better. It is also important to do an activity that we like in the open air, walking or running by the sea, in the mountains, in the park…, in some quiet place; if you can, avoid external noise, as noise causes stress. If we make this effort through our body, it will start to feel and be thankful for “the gift” that we are giving it and will start to reward us with good physical, emotional, and mental health.

This practice allows us to discover how good we can feel; we start to be aware of our alliance with and commitment to ourselves; we discover many things in us that we were incapable of seeing, doing, or feeling before; a new energy is reborn with strength, courage, determination, and joy.

Often our tiny mind shakes, bringing so many small problems to our mind but our determination and strength will stop these unnecessary noises; now we are more patient and lucid. We have discovered that meditation is a marvelous and powerful tool; it is our encounter with our free SELF, which gives us the lucidity and strength necessary to face any situation. If the problem has an immediate solution, it is solved; if it does not and we have to wait, we wait. Now we have serenity and confidence, since we have changed our attitude and start to change our way of thinking.

As the days pass and we grow, we realize that we don’t feel like running anymore; we are sick and tired of so much running, crashing and falling, crying and getting hurt. Now we have learned to walk calmly and serenely, focused on ourselves and on new sensations; we are hopeful for our daily “encounter” with meditation to arrive, and this moment becomes more and more important in our daily lives.

We start to see that the decisions that we make are more correct and our confidence starts to grow, to be more palpable; we see our lives clearly and from a different perspective.

Little by little, we start to be aware of our reality and we want to change certain things. We start to be responsible for our own actions and obligations, and to be conscious of our rights.

Maybe we have to make drastic choices; for example, I don’t want to study this field because I don’t like that career really, it is just a projection of my parents; maybe, I want to change my home, my job, my friends, my significant other, my way of thinking, my attitude towards myself and towards others; to be more open, to be more receptive, to share more… there are an infinite amount of things that we could do and we have a responsibility to do them well, without hurting, without power relationships, without shame, without hate, without fury… these emotions are not useful, they are guided by pride and other fights between egos that only create hard feelings and negative sensations, which means they are the perfect and favorite nourishment of the black beast, FEAR.

To make correct decisions and be responsible for our actions, our behavior must be correct; that is to say, before making a decision, we have to be conscious of what we truly feel and evaluate the damage that we could do, both to ourselves and to others, and to not go into this battle of titans of conquering or coming out on top.

One of the best options in making the correct decisions and understanding someone else’s behavior is to back up and look at it from a distance; observe and, while being honest with ourselves, search for the best solution to each situation for everyone involved.

It is daily task that you do step by step, it is not something you do from one day to the next, and our new attitude and way of thinking will find the best solution for everyone in all circumstances and situations; it is a marvelous adventure.

Throughout our lives, we often find ourselves at a “fork in the road”, and we don’t know what direction to take. At this crucial moment, since we have to make a decision: where do I want to go and what path should I choose; but before we must know where we are heading towards.

In order to live a full, serene life, we must be responsible and we must learn to make decisions. For example, if we make the decision to live alone, this solitude will be rich, happy, and precious; on the other hand, if we decide to live with others and we have problems with our significant other but we don’t have the courage to make the decision to change, we will be isolated and there is no greater solitude than solitude with company, and this solitude will be empty, painful, and frustrating. Our decisions with their consequences will accompany us for our entire lives. We must be honest when we make these decisions and always think about what is best for everyone.

We must have a positive attitude with ourselves and with others, as well as correct behavior. Our experiences, our adventures, belong to us and we are the only leading roles; it doesn’t matter if others do or do not agree with our decisions, accepting the differences in ourselves and in others is synonymous with strength, and not doing so is weakness, and weakness always entails problems.

The most important thing is to persevere on our path, in our decision; sometimes, it is difficult since we are going against the current, but as we progress and change, the situations will be easier and our life will be more calm.

Feeling physically and mentally well is to not be ill. Health is a treasure that that we do not value until we have lost it; we only have one body and if we do not take care of it and nurture it, it shuts down, gets sick, and dies. We do not have a replacement body, once dead, we stay dead.

The body must be taken care of always, starting from our tender infancy. Eating healthy and doing exercise, hopefully in the open air; walking, running through delightful places, forests, parks, beaches, without noise, maybe trying to listen to the sounds of nature, because that way we will hear our inner sound… and we will develop our other senses.

Feeling good emotionally is “making peace” with ourselves, and this can be achieved by looking inside of ourselves and facing ourselves and our past and present. Indeed, there are fears, concerns, pain, fury, frustration, resentment, vulnerability… but if we have the courage to do it, little by little these emotions will lose their strength and become weaker, and our life will be happier and calmer.

Feeling mentally well means discovering and being aware of our ego and pride. These energies create chains of attachments and they make us believe that we are not what we really are and keep us enslaved in constant frustration and aggression.

Pride is so strong that it makes us believe that our good actions, our sacrifice and our devotion are real, but in reality is it pride disguised as goodness; it is false goodness that nourishes one’s ego: I am the best, the most intelligent, the most… the most, but in reality we are nothing.

Pride weaves a big spider web and keeps us trapped in it; if we are not vigilant, pride and the ego will control our lives. When this occurs, we do not know who we are, we become automatons, we are not ourselves, and we live life as a puppet of pride and ego; this is called surviving, although you may be the valuable millionaire or executive, you’ll never be happy.

Breaking these chains and recognizing the ego and pride, as well as being able to transform them, gives us freedom and the wings to take flight and be free.

In order to make an experience out of our lives, we must be conscious of the two aspects that present themselves to us in our dual life, the positive and the negative, as well as our cellular memory.

What is cellular memory? It is the memory of our experiences throughout our past lives that we have stored in our conscience; it is déjà vu; it is REMEMBERING that we are more than just a physical body.

RE-MEMBER (to join the members, to join the pieces), therefore MEMORY is to “REJOIN” all past experiences up until the present moment to learn from them and solve problems. Once our interior chaos is solved, we start to develop our being of Light.

As we work on ourselves, cellular memory becomes stripped from all the layers of forgetfulness of so many ups and downs we have taken with us throughout the centuries, and it becomes transformed. This cellular memory, which we discover through meditation, awakens courage in us to confront all fears, doubts, and concerns in any circumstance and situation, and it makes us RESPONSIBLE over our lives and nature. For example, when you are little you must obey, learn, study, help your parents…; you must try to live in the moment, living at 20 years old as a 20-year-old, at 30 years old as a 30-year-old, at 40 years old as a 40-year-old…; you cannot live as a 20-year-old when you are 40 years old; everything has its time and place. Our memories allow us to perceive what we need to do; we feel an enormous inner strength that we cannot ignore. Likewise, these cellular memories allow us to develop a SENSE OF HUMOR. We cannot live a serious, boring life, like it was a job we were forced to do; on the contrary, life must be lived as an adventure full of surprises and to discover them you need to know how to laugh.

Cellular memories allow us to see the truth. The truth as absolute truth, for us human beings, does not exist (although it does exist in another dimension, the TRUTH is enduring), since every human being works and evolves at a different pace, depending on their experiences, and everyone has their own “truth”.

Cellular memories are different in every human being and this leads us many times to doubt since every one of us has different truths; if there are no doubts, there is no progressive, positive doubt is what makes us move forward, it makes us question why a thousand times, it is our engine and in the face of it we have the free will to decide; negative doubt is what causes us to lapse in confidence and throws us in a deep well of ignorance, and we accept it without questioning ourselves.

For this reason, it is important that every human being seek out their own truth and develop their intuition, and not be influenced by anything or anyone, nor any religious, social, or spiritual institution; no institution that makes you a believer or a holder of the truth is reliable; every truth is measured with the barometer of our individual inner Self. The people who need to be covered by or dependent on an institution do it due to fear, because they are weak and do not have the necessary power to find themselves, and they are afraid of being alone face-to-face with themselves.

Happiness comes from what we feel and perceive; if we work, our life will be calm and happy, living in the NOW. One of the most important characteristics in detecting the people that do this is their smile, they are always in a good mood. Many people take life very seriously and forget to laugh and smile; these two qualities are essential in order to find happiness: working on yourself and making those around us happy. If you are okay, everything around you will be okay.

Life is a continuous battle and we are the warriors of peace, trying to do what’s right in order to move forward and bring the miracle of heaven to earth; we don’t have to be afraid of the responsibility of wanting to do what we must do, we must be prepared physically, emotionally, and mentally, and not flee. If we are in harmony and liberty, we will succeed.

Responsibility over our lives makes us focus and this avoids having us fall into mediocre circumstances; observing without getting involved, we all have a path to follow and a story to write. Step by step, we walk our path, not the path that others have chosen for us.
