TEN ACTIONS MY BEST TEACHERS DID TO F.E.E.D. ME

Оглавление

1 Experience things deeply.

2 Let us express ourselves.

3 Let us know it was OK to ask questions.

4 Let us know it was OK to not understand at first.

5 Told us it was OK to be different.

6 Told us it was OK to have different opinions.

7 Let us know it was OK to stand out.

8 Always kept us in good spirits.

9 Taught us to always have a positive outlook on life.

10 Taught us there is no cure for ignorance.

To Mrs. Reynolds, Mrs. Whittaker, Mrs. Eubanks, Mrs. New
by Joy Taylor, 9th grade

1 Did you report the disrespectful acts to an adult? If no, why? If yes, was it corrected? What suggestions do you have to make our school more respectful?

1 Develop your daily mantra like Kindra Teale did, and repeat it daily.

2 Develop a questionnaire to give to your students on the first day so you get to know them personally. You can refer back to their answers throughout the year. Complete the same questionnaire at the end of the school year and have them compare their own answers.

3 View this video at a staff meeting – https://www.teachingchannel.org/videos/teacher-student-relationship – and discuss the passion of teaching.

Now that we have the best climate and culture and a caring environment for all students, we must create an ambiance of care, comfort, and cleanliness to F.E.E.D. the students.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, that what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church… .a home. The remarkable thing is we have a CHOICE every day regarding the attitude we will EMBRACE for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… .we are in charge of our ATTITUDES.

Charles Swindoll

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a better place, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

You are what you do, not what you say you do.
