C‐type lectin receptors (CLRs), which are membrane‐bound receptors, are a large family of receptors that bind to carbohydrates in a calcium‐dependent manner (by definition, all lectins bind to carbohydrates). They are involved in fungal recognition and the modulation of the innate immune response.
