Over 100 years after its founding, the Palisades Interstate Park system has become a gateway and nurturing ground for the next generation of conservation leaders. Its landscape, a dazzling interplay of history and nature, spreads north up the Hudson River Valley on a scale that is hard to imagine in such a dense urban region. We are the fortunate heirs of this remarkable legacy but must remain dedicated to serving as responsible stewards. Our task, going forward, is to give nature a chance wherever we can find additional opportunity and to invite millions of future visitors along in this continuing journey of exploration, learning, and sheer enjoyment.
