Оleg
ОглавлениеA man named Hitler decided to take over the world and, obviously, he was resolute about it. Many young people joined the army voluntary. Some of them never came back. If the family was lucky enough, they would receive the body or at least its parts.
Despite the horrors of the war that were shocking the whole world, Masha was feeling herself the happiest person in the whole world. She just turned seventeen, and met love of her life.
The whole town was talking about the Krasnov family, before they even moved to Sverdlovsk from Perm. Evgeni Krasnov was to be the new leader of Sovkhoz. Oleg was the youngest son of the family. The two older sons joined the army a year ago.
Masha saw Oleg the day they arrived to Sverdlovsk. He looked kind of skeptical and did not seem very happy. But all of this didn’t matter to Masha, as she was sure that he was the one she had been waiting for all her life. He had such impressive big eyes, it seemed one could drown himself in them.
One week passed since Oleg with his family moved to this town. Everything was unfamiliar, no friends or even acquaintances. Oleg felt lonely, and in addition, his innate shyness. But for it, he could go up to that girl with the beautiful long hair and talk to her.
“Life can be so complicated! Or maybe it is not complicated at all, but we complicate it?” Oleg was talking to himself. “What is the best way to approach her?”
He was rehearsing speeches whole nights through, but all in vain. He never had the courage to talk to her.
One night, while preparing for the next speech rehearsal, he suddenly realized that no words were needed. Smile. Here is the answer.

From now on, the only thought that swirled in her head was about Oleg. He managed to get into her blood vessels and reached the heart.
Masha did not know how to attract his attention.
Sveta, Masha’s best friend, tried to help her in every way with her advices, but Masha lacked courage.
– Masha, don’t be a coward! Ogle, wave at him. Otherwise, how can he understand that you like him?
– Oh, Sveta, I cannot make the first step, like a street girl.
– Don’t make me laugh, and what do street girls have to do with it. I don’t tell you to throw your arms around him. Just give him a sign, that’s all.
One afternoon, when Masha was helping her mom tidy up the garden, Oleg drove by on his bicycle. He smiled at her. At this moment, Masha felt how she blushed and prayed that her heart wouldn’t jump out of her chest.
They both realized that in the midst of the impossible, there is always something incredible hidden.
