Party for the Soldiers

Оглавление

It was the middle of autumn, when the army was planning to stay in the same town where Masha lived. They were going to stop and destroy the enemy. All the locals were very pleased that the heroes would visit their city, and decided to organize a small party in their honor. Masha was among the organizers. Music and dancing were her responsibility. Oleg had to organize food and drinks.

Masha already noticed that Oleg was looking at her every time he got a chance and that made her even more timid. Finally, he pulled together all his courage to approach and talk to her.

– Hi, you have very beautiful hair.

– Thank you, – said Masha, embarrassed.

– Will you do me a favor, please? Promise me the first dance.

Maria could not believe her ears. All that she could do was just nod as the sign of an agreement.

The party was planned to start at seven in the evening. At six o’clock, Masha began to prepare. She loosened her hair, painted her cheeks with a rouge, put on her only glad rags – the dress with the little forget-me-nots, which perfectly matched the color of her eyes.
