Depression is an insidious disease that has left many women ashamed of feeling the way they feel about themselves and about their lives. The one thing that is certain about going through situations that may leave you feeling depressed is that you are changed by those situations. No matter how low you get, you too can rise from the state you’re in or above the situation that got you there. It is often better to speak about your feelings to friends and family members. Sometimes, if the depression is severe or debilitating, you may need to speak with a professional.
