Other Dana High-Performance Vehicles

Оглавление

The Dana Hi-Performance Center began running ads in January 1967. It was running full swing prior to the Le Mans race in June 1967. The Corvettes raced in Le Mans were prepared in the Dana Hi-Performance Center. Assuming that the cars were converted in the newly completed Hi-Performance Center facility, this would push the date of conversion to as early as January 1967.

Aside from Camaros, the Hi-Performance location converted Chevelles and specialized in Corvette sales and service. Forgotten in the modern era, Dana also stocked a lot of big-block Impalas, which were popular.

Another very cool vehicle Chevrolet produced was the El Camino, which managed to merge the great looks of a car with the utility of a truck. Unlike today’s SUVs and pickups, which are huge, incredibly ugly monstrosities, the El Camino was well proportioned and sleek looking. An El Camino delivered through Dana Chevrolet remained in mostly as-delivered condition with some performance upgrades made at the dealership.
