Ion chromatography (IC)
ОглавлениеEven though the stationary phase is considered to be a solid, the separation principle is different from LSC. Reserved for ionic species, this technique is not based on the adsorption phenomenon, as in LSC, but rather on exchanges between the ions to be separated and those in the stationary phase (anion or cation exchange resin). This type of separation relies on ion exchange equilibria characterized by ionic distribution coefficients.
