Abstract

Оглавление

This article starts from considering a tendency to the selective use of the Marxist focus on the class, facing the historical and verified heterogeneity of subaltern sectors in Latin America. The thesis that we hold here is that the crossroads in which this situation places us has to do with the displacement or suspension of the notion of class conflict as an explanatory category of the dynamics of production/reproduction/transformation of social order and of subjects in it. In this framework, this article sets out to explore, in a first section, the implications of the rejection –implicit or not– of the class approach to explain the constitution of political subjects that are not recognized, prima facie, as «typically class subjects». In a second section, we recover certain keys of class approach, insofar as, it is not, in our intention, only to dust off and claim a concept; but to find, reinterpret and expose some keys that can be powerful to read the evident and documented fact of the plurality of ways in which contemporary resistance to the neoliberal order emerges in our region.

Keywords: class, conflicts, class struggle, subalternity.
