6. The takedown-latch is retained in the frame only by friction from a circular spring on the right side, and the latch is easily pulled out toward the right.
7. The locking block is retained by a screw at the front of the barrel underlug. After removal of the screw, the block can be tipped outward to its limit and slid on toward the side. Note that the screw is staked at the factory and routing removal is neither easy nor advisable. The locking block plunger at the rear is also staked in place and the same advice applies. If necessary, it can be drifted out toward the rear.
