Acadia’s habitat diversity is home to approximately 40 species of mammals, more than 330 species of birds, 30 species of fish, 7 reptiles, and 11 amphibians. Although their extent is less well known, the park’s most common wildlife species are invertebrates—some that can be a nuisance and many that are critical components of the food web.
