be making more of your own decisions in middle school,
it’s
important to keep your wits about you.

more responsibility and learn to manage more things on your
own, which can make you feel really grown-up and make your
parents proud of you.

You’re a holdout.
When change happens to you, you try to hang on to
the way things used to be. Why? Because you know
what to expect and what to do. You feel in control.
But now that something new has come along, you’re
afraid you’ve lost control.
Don’t be so quick to
run.
New faces, places, and challenges can open up
a whole new world for you.
And there is some-
thing you’ll always have control over:
how you handle and react to things.
As the
unknown becomes more familiar, you’ll find yourself
feeling more sure of yourself.
