You can use language from travelling with planes and add or change appropriately, for example:
•Could you tell me the time of the next train to Amsterdam, please?
•What time does it arrive? /When does it get in?
•A first-class return (US: round-trip ticket) to Plymouth, please, coming back on Friday.
•Do I need a seat reservation?
•Where do I find the next left-luggage office2 and left-luggage lockers3, please?
You may hear over the loud speaker:
•At a London main station: “The train now standing at platform 12 is the (delayed) 7.55 from Paris to Edinburgh, calling at Peterborough, York and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, due to arrive in Edinburgh at 22.30.”
•First-class compartments will be found in section A and B, Restaurant car and Buffet car will be found in section C and second-class compartments will be found in section C, D and E. [1]
