I met Humaira late in the afternoon in her tiny office at Medica Mondiale. She’d just had a very full week and a long day, but was gracious enough to spend a short amount of time with me. Her desk was overflowing with books and papers and she was showing the effects of stress and exhaustion. Because of our limited time and her fatigue, I didn’t ask her anything personal. She preferred not to be photographed.
