Board Games on the Back of Selection Boxes

Оглавление

No Christmas is complete without a chocolate selection box: a variety of popular bars and other confections packaged in a cardboard box with a festive illustration on the front, which costs more than buying the contents individually. A simple con trick, which we happily fall for every year, because they make an easy present for nieces, nephews, godchildren, etc.

But why don’t they have games on the back any more?

You could just about justify paying over the odds when you also got the pleasure of playing a board game using Chocolate Buttons or Jelly Beans or Tooty Frooties as counters. It might have been Snakes and Ladders or Ludo, or, better still, some contrived game involving characters featured on the sweet wrappers, perhaps a Freddo Frog lilypad race. Sadly, I haven’t seen one of these for many a year.

I think they should bring them back.

And then someone should give me one for Christmas.
