Mercy College is located alongside the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, New York. The College is dedicated to making a high-quality education attainable, offering more than 90 undergraduate and graduate programs within its five schools: Business, Education, Health and Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
The New York metropolitan area college of nearly 10,000 students has five campus locations including: Dobbs Ferry (main campus), Bronx, Manhattan, White Plains, and Yorktown Heights and offers more than 40 degree programs online. Mercy College is currently one of the most affordable not-for-profit, private institutions in the U.S.
Mercy’s PACT provides each student with a professionally-trained mentor—from admissions through graduation—preparing each student to become the best candidate for graduate school or the career of her or his choice. The Honors Program, named as a “Smart Choice” by “Peterson’s Honors Programs and Colleges Guide,” and one of the first in New York State, offers unique preparation for talented students through exceptional academic challenges, an enriched learning experience, and engaging co-curricular activities. Honors students participate in exclusive seminars with world leaders, academic scholars, and industry executives throughout the school year and are provided with a laptop as part of the program. Additional benefits include generous scholarship support and placement in highly sought after internship positions.
The Mercy College Personalized Achievement Contact (PACT), a nationally recognized mentoring program, pairs incoming freshmen with highly qualified, full-time professional mentors who help students navigate through all aspects of college life, from financial aid to finding internships. The Mercy College PACT was named a “Best Practice” for retention and career services by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and the U.S. Department of Education funded Mercy College $2.5 million to create a PACT program for graduate students. The Library Learning Commons at the Dobbs Ferry campus features a wide range of services including: loaner laptops, group study rooms, multimedia workstations, a state of the art book and media catalog, video viewing stations, café, quiet study area, and research, writing, and tutoring services.
The Center for Global Engagement: The Center builds on Mercy’s mission of preparing students to become responsible, skilled, knowledgeable, and caring global citizens in an increasingly interdependent and competitive global world.
In addition to being a long-time member of Model UN, Mercy College is also an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) associated with the United Nations through the Department of Public Information, providing direct access to the United Nations for our students.
Mercy College’s Study Abroad Program provides students the opportunity to study in places around the world and expose them to history, art, economics, sciences and culture with first-hand experience.
Mercy College is an NCAA Division II institution, competing in 14 men’s and women’s varsity sports on the school’s main campus in Dobbs Ferry, NY. A member of the highly-competitive East Coast Conference (ECC), the Mavericks offer athletic scholarships in soccer, volleyball, field hockey, cross country, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s track and field, baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s lacrosse.

The Master of Science in Web Strategy and Design is one of the best in the country; it can be completed in 21 months, either completely online or at the main campus in Dobbs Ferry.

There are plenty of ways for students to apply their interests outside of the classroom. Student can participate in athletics, sharpen their journalistic skills as a reporter for The Impact, express themselves in the Creative Minds poetry workshop, or expand their knowledge of world affairs in the Mercy College United Nations team.

National Geographic named a Mercy College faculty member one of its Emerging Explorers for his work in clean water technologies.
The School of Education has an employment rate close to 100 percent. School of Education students are exceptionally better-prepared for successful careers than their counterparts in other institutions across the country.
Employment rate in all School of Health and Natural Sciences programs is close to 100 percent. More than 300 students have been recently placed in prestigious institutions such as New York Presbyterian Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center, Helen Hayes Hospital and many others, for training.

Student Body Full-time undergraduate enrollment is 4,103. Total enrollment, including part-time undergraduate and graduate, is about 9,673. The student population is approximately 27.6% male and 72.4% female.
Financial Aid From federal to state grants to private scholarships, Mercy has countless options to help you for college.
Federal and state grants help you with college expenses: Your family’s financial circumstances determine your eligibility and amount you can receive.
Loans: Loans help you pay your way, but must be re-paid. Loans may be backed by the Federal Government (like the Federal Stafford Student Loan) or granted independently by a bank. Interest rates may be subsidized by the federal government to keep them below general market rates.
Private Scholarships: Many organizations, fraternal societies, unions, high schools, and religious groups offer scholarships. Most of these private scholarships require that you meet organization-specific criteria to qualify.
Federal Work-Study Program: Provides students with part-time employment. Students usually work a limited number of hours per week and may work on campus in a variety of activities. Off campus, Federal Work-Study jobs are limited to nonprofit, non-sectarian, and non-political organizations.
ROTC: The Air Force, Army, and Navy all have scholarship programs if you’re interested in becoming an officer after graduation.
Degrees Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees offered in more than 90 program options. A Doctor of Physical Therapy is offered as well as a number of certificate programs.
