1. The beautiful and charming time

Simultaneously begins with the sunset in life.

We understand the day is to end,

When sunrise leads to the crowning sunset.

2. The lifetime is a short day in space,

When sunrise is the childhood best.

The noon is the prime of life,

And sunset is for us the good-bye fine.

3. All warm and wonderful is sent to the earth,

The rays are filled with excellent words.

So many for the people there are in the air

Sent down from the morning till the evening fair.

4. Here is a noteworthy thing —

The shining sun does for us all sing.

For everything this charming song rings, —

For the grass and the trees the vitality it brings.

5. For the people all and for the little birds

There is wondrous warmth coming to the earth.

For everything the heaven has enough

Of the wonderful and holy love.

6. Who has not been able in time to see

How beautiful is the day and its core within, —

Look steadily in the clear sky,

To see that sunset is the wisdom earned in life!
