Smooth it out.

Once the glue dries, sand everything

flush at the spindle sander or with

a file and sandpaper.

Clamp it up.

Glue and clamp the new handle material

to the main handle of the peel.

Cut a smooth transition.

Create a bevel onto the additional handle

stock so that it will blend into the large end

of the peel. A rotary tool works well

to remove the wood, but a rasp and file

would work as well.
