Pizza Peel

Shape the bevel.

File or sand away the wood to

create a nice wedge shape on the

front of the peel. This can be done

quickly with a belt sander

and 80-grit sandpaper.

Draw out the bevel.

A bevel on the front edge of a peel allows it

to slide under a pizza easily. You can draw

out the guidelines for the bevel freehand.

Draw the line in from the edge about 1" at

the end and taper it down so that it’s flush

at the sides of the peel.
