BIBLIOGRAFÍA

La bibliografía sobre Flavio Josefo es enorme e inabarcable, hasta el punto de que existen trabajos específicos dedicados a reseñarla. H. SCHRECKENBERG recoge las ediciones, traducciones y estudios sobre el autor judío desde 1470: Bibliographie zu Flavius Josephus , Leiden, 1968, y Bibliographie zu Flavius Josephus. Supplementum , Leiden, 1979. Más reciente es la obra de L. H. FELDMAN , Josephus and Modern Scholarship (1937-1980) , Berlín-Nueva York, 1984, que incluye unos cinco mil libros y artículos sobre Josefo y que ha sido completada con el trabajo del mismo autor, Josephus. A supplementary bibliography , Nueva York, 1986, y la de L. H. FELDMAN , G. HATA (eds.), Josephus, the Bible and History , Leiden, 1989, donde el comentario de la bibliografía ocupa más de cien páginas.

En este elenco bibliográfico presentaremos una selección breve y selectiva de aquellos títulos que puedan resultar útiles para profundizar en la Guerra de los judíos de Josefo, tanto en su aspecto histórico como filológico. No hemos recogido aquí todas las obras, normalmente sobre aspectos puntuales, citadas en las notas de esta Introducción y del propio texto. Nos limitamos a dar referencia de aquellos trabajos sobre cuestiones generales, ya clásicos sobre el tema y que siguen sirviendo de base para la investigación posterior, y de las aportaciones relativamente recientes, estén o no reseñados en las notas. El mismo criterio seguiremos para el caso de las ediciones y traducciones, donde señalaremos únicamente las últimas publicaciones críticas, las más accesibles y las que ofrecen un mayor interés, mientras que nos remitimos al apartado correspondiente de este Introducción para el resto.
